Letter No. 8 No. 7 Quebec Quebec

I facilitated a retreat parish church of St Lawrence from 5 to 8 December. During this retreat, I discussed the power of love as opposed to the love of power and our paths releasing our inner prisons while walking to a act according to our convictions. A visit to the prison in Three Rivers was also held to promote an exchange of Christmas cards.

PART FOUR of five episodes

THEME: OUR HELL accordance

Read: Gospel of Luke 23, 33-34, 39-46

It may seem strange to read a passage from the passion of Jesus as we meditate on the feast of Christmas. Yet we are an extension of Christmas. From the birth of Jesus, Herod used his ABSOLUTE POWER FOR MURDER OF INNOCENT CHILDREN. Now it is the religious authorities of the Temple of Jerusalem, in connivance with political power, abusing their power. The Pharisees and doctors of Jewish law have erected their religion in a SYSTEM OF INTOLERANCE AND EXTREMISM where their god has turned into an idol. Here we are talking again an abuse of power. THIS! THIS IS HELL!

HELL IS A HELL accordance ON WE OWN ON OUR PLOT OF POWER ON OUR DESIRES OF DOMINANCE ON OUR PRIVILEGES AND OUR RIGHTS ACQUIRED

Because we already been hurt, we still often very badly. Our old wounds still hurt us. We realize that sometimes we tend to get Hell sea on ourselves by thinking so we avoid suffering. By trying to suffer less, we suffer even more because we hell mons in our sorrows and traumas. We go to jail. We live the hell .

One day in Congo-Zaire, I met an old woman who took a certain pleasure to come bothering us at all times. She swore if she was not happy by pretending to be sick. Nobody knew what to do? They even came to us to close our office doors if one saw coming. But more intelligent than us, she walked around the house and came to bother us anyway. It was eventually nicknamed "Madam Calamity." Good! I confess it's not very charitable to do that, seeing her, you would have understood.

short, we learn one day that Mrs. Calamity gets sick. Ill be in the bottom of a bush is to wish someone. A simple illness can be fatal. Thus, women of the Legion of Mary Parish, taking courage in both hands, decide to go in his quest to rescue her. After long hours of walking behind the hills, they are received with insults and hardness by Our Lady. It really was not convenient.

- We come to visit you, they say.

- I want no part of you. Go away!

- We do not want you no harm. We just want to pray for you.

- Pray! No, no, I'm not interested. Go!

- Listen! You are not baptized. You see that you are very sick. You can die and if you die without receiving baptism, you'll go to hell.

- In hell! What is that, hell?

- This is the eternal fire!

- What! Fire!

- Yes, yes, the eternal fire!

- bin Ha! I'm always cold at night. is where I want to go !

Hell, not stories of devils, flame and terror. Hell, we cĂ´toyons whenever we hell mons on ourselves when we we go on in a refusal of love that turns into a force of regression and withdrawal.

HELL we fixed in an attitude of extreme solitude, a withdrawal into ourselves which stubbornly refuse to compromise in the management of our autonomy, our independence, our freedom of choice, finally in our "power to control" our lives. It is in this sense that we are Herod.

Where does our reflex of extremely hell ? Have it, very often we refuse to trust others and even God.

ALL OUR STORIES OF HELL HAVE THEIR SOURCE IN A LACK OF LOVE.

HELL is we'll be alone thinking that it's better to enjoy the solitude rather than admit that we need others. That people prefer to remain strong and independent, and suffer terribly, rather than accept the joy of being weak, vulnerable and dependent.

God, we read in the Gospel we so loved that became one of us. He "embodied" by becoming a baby completely vulnerable and dependent. God himself in Jesus took the risk of love by offering its vulnerability to a cross in a total recount.

Moreover, Jesus descended into hell , as stated in our creed. Where is he staying?

He descended into hell all extremely our inner prisons, our pain of living, our traumas and injuries.

Jesus take us by the hand to pick ourselves up, to comfort us, to enlighten us in a new light.

Jesus is our sun in the night of our infernal tombs.

Jesus is the one that opens the doors closed, the gates of our prisons inside of the box containing the doubts which we hell Meas. He broke the chains of our attachments.

With misleading advertising, we have ruled out or remove the MYSTERY OF THE INCARNATION hell for us in a sea rather CYCLE OF ABUSE OF POWER based on our financial power. The Bebelle Santa Claus have become more important as the anniversary of the birth of baby Jesus.

Continued tomorrow: act according to his convictions rather than by obligation
